Smaller residences are University owned houses and flats, either around campus of next to some of the bigger residences. You get the good stuff about living in halls (e.g. meeting new people, a good standard of housing, good locations) all whilst having a little more independence and the chance to feel a bit more like you’re in a proper house.
Smaller Res’ students love:- Having the independence of living in a house rather than a large hall of residence
- Still getting the benefits of living in University accommodation though rather than with private landlords
- Meeting some totally different people
- That all smaller properties for students have internet connections
