Basically, the big boss people tell us that we have to have one – so we do.
The whole point of this privacy statement business is to tell you what we’re going to do with your info when you go onto Leeds Student Life: and what we’ll do is be nice with it.
We’re not going to pass your info round to anyone else, we’re not going to share your details and we’re not going to sit in our office and laugh when you can’t spell Bodington Hall properly. What we will do instead is treat all your data with TLC, keep it just to ourselves and respect your privacy.
When you click onto Leeds Student Life we collect some info automatically like your IP address and browser type. This is just done to get info on who is using the site and how which also helps us if there’s ever a security breach.
When we ask for your comments, this is a slightly different matter. All we do here is use your info to update the site. Simple as that. If you ever want it to be taken down, that’s fine – just let us know.
Any info you do give us won’t get sent out to anyone else, so you don’t have to worry about receiving excessive phone calls from double glazing sales people or the like. The only people that will even ever see your data are people who update the site and have a reason to.
We might change this privacy statement, but if we do we’ll let you know here online. If you’ve got any questions about it just email leedsstudentlife@leeds.ac.uk
